Ray Halbritter, Oneida Nation Representative and CEO of Nation
Enterprises, gave the closing address at the 2011 Latino Upstate Summit,
held on Oct. 21 at Mohawk Valley Community College
in Utica. The
purpose of the conclave was to address the role of people of Latino
descent in this country as it relates to community life, the economy and
civic affairs. Speaking about the summit, Halbritter said “The Oneida
people have a special understanding of the challenges faced by the
Latino community in New York, and we have a unique appreciation for all
