Pin It Now!

C. Sonia Martinez, Transition Team Member
A new day is dawning in Utica, NY as Mayor-Elect Robert Palmieri takes on his initial duties. Those named to his Transition Team include several close associates who I have had the pleasure of working with on local agency boards. I can honestly say these colleagues have a true heart for our community, congratulations!

Members of the transition team include:

Mr. Patrick Costello, President, IBEW Local 43.
Mr. Louis Critelli, retired engineer.
Ms. Mary Brown DePass, past Director, SUNYIT.
Mr. Frank DuRoss, Exec. Dir. Institutional Advancement, MVCC.
Mr. Vin Gilroy, Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Todd Hutton, President, Utica College.
Mr. Salvatore Longo, Chief Executive Officer, Northern Safety.
Ms. C. Sonia Martinez, Pres., Mohawk Valley Latino Association.
Mr. Mike Taylor, President, Collinite Chemical Co.

Of special note is the naming of C. Sonia Martinez to the endeavor, to my knowledge she is the first Latina ever named to such a prestigious position. Sonia and I go back several years when we partnered to form the Mohawk Valley Latino Association based here in Utica, NY. Buena Suerte Hermana Sonia!

My best wishes also go out to the Mayor-Elect, the rest of his Team and most importantly to the City of Utica, New York as a new day is certainly dawning upon us...............read more
